Man sues dating agency for not giving him 'pure, sweet' wife

Zhang paid a sum of 7million Chinese Yuan (£737,000) to the agency but was less than satisfied with the women they offered him even though the agency organized a national audition.

A rich man Mr. Zhang from China has sued a dating agency based in Shanghai for failing to get him a '‘pure, sweet and young’ wife.

Zhang paid a sum of 7million Chinese Yuan (£737,000) to the agency but was less than satisfied with the women they offered him even though the agency organized a national audition. The audition included women from Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Ningbo. Adverts were placed in newspapers, magazines, on TV and online.

Mr Zhang was searching for women between the ages of 20 and 28, however the agency could only come up with eight prospects for him.

A court has now ruled that the agency should pay Mr. Zhang 4million Yuan (£421,000).
