Nanelly has been a name frequently mentioned in basketball circles over the past few weeks, with some media outlets even reporting Partizan's interest. However, it now appears James is headed to Israel.
According to local reports, Hapoel Jerusalem is keen to sign the 36-year-old guard, a move that would significantly bolster the squad led by coach Saša Obradović.
Hapoel has ambitious plans, aiming to enter the EuroLeague in the coming seasons. They've begun assembling a formidable team, and James Nanelly is seen as a key addition.
One of the EuroLeague's all-time best shooters, Nanelly played for AEK last year, reaching the FIBA Champions League final. He's perhaps best known to the Serbian public for his stint with Partizan, which he left after an altercation with Stefan Lazarević.
The American boasts an incredibly rich career, having played in the NBA and China, and had two separate stints with Fenerbahçe in the EuroLeague. He also played for Olimpia Milano and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
