While rumors circulated that KK Partizan would pursue Armoni Brooks this summer, Italian media reports indicate the dynamic American guard has no plans to leave Milan.
Orazio Cauchi, co-host of the Italian basketball podcast "Backdoor," claims that Brooks and Milan's management have all but finalized an agreement to extend his contract.
There's been a lot of talk about his future, but now both Brooks and Milan's sporting director, Daniel Bajesi, are very optimistic. Brooks has stated he'd like to stay, focusing more on Milan and the EuroLeague than a return to the NBA. A deal isn't done yet, but it's heading in that direction. It's worth remembering that in mid-April, reports emerged of Partizan submitting a four-million-euro offer for Brooks. However, it now appears he will remain an unfulfilled wish for the black-and-whites.
This season, Brooks established himself as one of the EuroLeague's top shooters. He averaged 13.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, with an impressive 42% from beyond the arc.
Before joining Olimpia, Brooks played for the Ontario Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, and several G-League development teams.
