Mr Moses Adedeji‎ the Executive Director of the organisation, gave the support in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.

He added that it would deny corrupt persons and unscrupulous cabals a foothold in the on-going process of change and progress.

Adedeji urged ‎President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr Ibe Kahikwu, not to relent in their efforts to bring change in the system.

He said that individuals and groups calling for the sack of Mrs Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, Managing Director of the retail arm of the corporation, were those who are against the growth and development of the nation.

He described them as `cabals’ who were bent on frustrating the efforts to end the prolonged fuel crisis witnessed across the country and urged the government to ignore them.

``Nnamdi-Ogbue's approximately three decades of work experience within the NNPC’ s organisational structure and her academic accomplishments do not reflect any form of soiled record," he said.
