I Didn't Know What MOBO Awards Was When I Won It

Imagine winning award you don't even know of its existence. This was exactly the case for Hip-Hop/Soul singer, Nneka.

In an exclusive chat with Pulse, the "Restless" singer admitted that at the time she won the award in 2009, she wasn't even aware of its existence.

"I was in Nigeria when I won the MOBO award and I didn't know what it was so I didn't take it seriously. I didn't even want to go for the ceremony. Someone had to break it down and explain what it was to me. The guys at MOBO insisted on flying me out, so I went with my sister from Lagos and it was cool. Kelly Rowland was on stage but I didn't do the red carpet though, I went through the back door."
