Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has stated that the $60,000 grant received from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), will be used to pay salaries.

According to the news company, Pinnick gave a directive that the money recently collected from CAF should be used to settle the outstanding entitlement of Samson Siasia and his assistants.

“I have directed the secretariat that the $60,000 we received from CAF be used immediately to pay the U23 team coaches,”

“Use this money to pay them and we are in the process of paying them.”

Siasia, who is currently away in Brazil at the 2016 Rio Olympics, threatened to leave his position as coach because he has not been paid.
