New Ball Model to Be Used in Crucial World Cup Matches

A new ball model will be introduced for the final four matches of the World Cup – both semifinals, as well as the third-place playoff and the final, organizers announced.

Adidas revealed that the exclusive variant, named "Triomph Finale," will feature a design where the colors of the emblems of the three host nations are replaced by black and gold hues. The ball will also bear the names of the cities that hosted matches throughout the tournament.

Each of the four remaining teams in the tournament will play at least two matches with the new ball. It will be used in the third-place playoff and the World Cup final, scheduled for July 19th in New Jersey.
