'Essentials' art exhibition set to showcase over 30 artworks

The art scene is set to witness an explosion as a group of 9 well-honed and experienced artists are set to showcase 30 works masterly done in diverse media in an exhibition titled, Essentials.

The exhibition is scheduled to open from 14th of November at Alexis Gallery, Victoria Island and will run till the 21st.

The exhibiting artists include  George Edozie, Akinola Ebenezer, Bimbo Adenugba, Gerald Chukwuma, Joshua Nmesirionye, Kunle Adegborioye, Osagie Aimufia, Segun Aiyesan and Wallace Ejoh.

Art enthusiasts will be introduced to the heart and pulse of Nigerian creativity through the works as the artists explore the country’s diverse issues through diverse and engaging styles.

Speaking at an interactive session with the media, the group stated that their focus is not just about exhibition, but also focus on issues they claimed are not done well in the art circle.

Speaking further, curator George Edozie said the artists involved are not just established artists, but those whose works are sought by collectors both at home and in the international circle.
