Joe Boy set for showdown with Prince Nurudeen over N1m

Blaming an injury sustained on his right hand as the reason for losing to Joe Boy, Prince Nurudeen disclosed that he's ready to retain his title.

The boxers are set for a bout that will reward winner with not only the National Lightweight Championship belt but also a trophy and N1m cash prize.

Prince Nurudeen, who is the current National Lightweight champion has disclosed his intentions to ruin Joe Boy's career after losing to him in the fifth round of their explosive challenge clash at GOtv Boxing Night 4.

Flykite Promotions, organisers of the bout, revealed that the much awaited bout has been rescheduled twice on account of injury to the champion.

The National Lightweight bout headlines the series of bout slated for the GOtv Boxing Night 7 and has drawn much attention from the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control as well as boxing lovers.

Bankrolled by GOtv and monitored by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, the bout is scheduled for a live broadcast in 47 African countries.
