Acrylic nails always look beautiful but they can be expensive to maintain as most acrylic nails need to be filled once every 2 weeks! Learn how to do it yourself in super easy steps.

The acrylics grow out with nails and if left unfilled can be prone to 'accidents', come off or start to look unkempt amongst other things.

Every two or at most three weeks, you should go back to the technician to have your nails filled in.

Filling the nails requires gently filing down the acrylic edge - closest to the nail bed- where the empty area between your nail bed and the existing acrylic nail is then refilled.

Sometimes this is a daunting challenge as a visit to the salon/making appointments can become impossible making you your own saviour!
