A resident of Aba in Abia State has taken advantage of the dab roads in the city to provide ad-hoc transportation for people for a token fee.

A jobless man in Aba, the commercial nerve center of Abia State, has taken advantage of the state of bad and dilapidated roads to make a living for himself instead of dying in poverty.

The man was spotted by a journalist working with Imo City News using an improvised wheelbarrow popularly called amalanke, to ferry people across a muddy road and charged them N20 only.
The man who refused to give his name when he was cornered, said he decided to take up the option of providing transport for the people in the area for a token since the government has refused to fix the bad roads in the city and other parts of the state.

He said that he makes an average of N2,000 on a good day which is better than stealing and uses that to take care of his family.
