The anticipated departure of head coach Julian Nagelsmann might not be the only change within the German national team setup following their early exit from the 2026 World Cup.

According to SPORT1, Rudi Völler, the sporting director of the German Football Association (DFB), is also prepared to step down from his position, especially if predictions that Jürgen Klopp will succeed Nagelsmann at the helm of the national team come true. It is believed that if the former Liverpool manager takes charge of the Germans, the legendary footballer's responsibilities would diminish, prompting his readiness to resign. However, Sky Sport suggests this potential parting of ways is not certain, and it's possible the two could collaborate at least until the end of Euro 2028.

The 66-year-old Völler joined the DFB management after the 2022 World Cup and was considered one of Nagelsmann's most trusted confidants.
