Serbia's basketball team convened this Monday ahead of two crucial July World Cup qualifiers for the 2027 tournament in Qatar.
Nikola Jokic and his teammates are set to play on July 2nd and 6th, first away against Switzerland, then at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, concerning news is emerging from Sarajevo for the 'Dragons,' as their star player, Dzanan Musa, is questionable for the clash against the 'Eagles.'
The Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that Musa will undergo an MRI on his knee. The results will determine the severity of the injury and whether he can join the national team's preparations.
Coach Dario Đerđa is currently working with a group of 12 players in Vlašić, who have begun preparations for these vital qualifying matches. The initial roster includes Alen Pjanić, Kenan Kamenjaš, Darko Talić, Adin Vrabac, Asim Gutić, Amar Gegić, Amar Alibegović, Luka Garza, Reuf Livadić, Eman Šertović, Alija Islamović, and Stefan Simanić.
Should Musa be unable to play, it would be a significant blow to the 'Dragons' squad.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's second July qualifier is against Turkey.
