Jose Mourinho has announced his first squad selection for Real Madrid's second stint under his leadership. The roster is set for Saturday's 10:30 PM clash against Espanyol, which will kick off the Whites' La Liga season. Two players are absent due to physical issues, but the door to the first team has opened for three academy prospects who impressed the coach during pre-season. All new signings are available: Bernardo, Cucurella, Konate, Dumfries, Diomande, and Espi.

The two most notable absences are Endrick and Aurélien Tchouaméni. The Brazilian forward remains sidelined after sustaining a minor muscle injury. The French midfielder has already begun training with the squad, but Mourinho has opted not to rush his return to action.

The manager explained that Tchouaméni still needs a few more days of training to get into competitive rhythm. The demanding schedule also calls for caution, as Real Madrid faces three La Liga matches in just eight days.

Early this morning, Mourinho had hinted: "Mario Rivas, Sestero, and Alexis Syria are traveling with us." The three academy talents impressed the Portuguese coach during pre-season, where injuries often forced "The Special One" to rely on "La Fábrica" (Real Madrid's academy).
