Mourinho Extends El Clasico Streak Dating Back to 2012

Real Madrid's 2-1 victory over Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou last night extended Jose Mourinho's unbeaten run across his most recent El Clasico appearances.

This marked the sixth consecutive derby against Barca without defeat for 'The Special One' as Real manager. The streak began in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup on August 23, 2012, when Madrid claimed a 2-1 home win. Four more meetings followed during that 2012/13 campaign, resulting in two draws and two further victories for Los Blancos, who parted company with the Portuguese tactician at the end of that season.

Mourinho took charge of Real Madrid in 18 El Clasico fixtures in total, recording six wins, six draws, and six defeats. When including his matches against the Catalans during his spells at Chelsea and Inter Milan, his overall record stands at nine wins, nine draws, and ten defeats.
