AC Milan has officially announced the signing of promising young defender Sankoun Diawara. He joins from newly promoted Ligue 1 side Troyes for a modest fee of just €3 million. The 20-year-old talent has penned a contract for at least five seasons and will wear the number 13 shirt.

It is believed that Diawara is expected to feature for the club's first team, which would place him ahead of Valeri Vladimirov in the pecking order. The Bulgarian talent, who plays in the same position, is currently undergoing pre-season training with the *Rossoneri* but competes for the club's reserve side, Milan Futuro. In contrast, the newly acquired Frenchman made 18 appearances for his former club last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Diawara expressed his eagerness to make his debut at the San Siro. “I believe the first day I see San Siro will forever remain in my memory. I can't wait to make my debut and meet the *Rossoneri* fans, my teammates, and all the staff. I've loved football since I was a child, and little by little, I'm fulfilling my childhood dream. I was born with a ball at my feet, and every time I step onto the pitch, I try to give 200% of myself,” he stated.
