Michael Page is set to return to the middleweight division for his appearance at UFC Fight Night 287.
Page (25-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will face Nursulton Ruziboev (37-9-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) on September 5th at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. The news was officially announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.
After suffering his first octagon loss to Joaquin Buckley in a welterweight bout in May 2014, Ruziboev has since returned to the 185-pound division, securing three consecutive victories. His last outing was in June at UFC Fight Night 280, where he defeated Andrey Pulyaev via first-round submission.
Page is also on a three-fight winning streak, with notable victories over Shara Magomedov, former title contender Jared Cannonier, and most recently, a somewhat unconvincing decision win against Sam Patterson at welterweight at UFC Fight Night 270 in March.
The UFC Paris fight card also features these matchups:
Curtis Campbell vs. Trevor Peak
Matthieu Duclos vs. Luis Felipe Dos Santos
Modestas Bukauskas vs. Omar Sy
Losen Keita vs. Muhammad Naimov
Mario Pinto vs. Ryan Spann
Nora Cornolle vs. Claudia Sigula
