Ozil, over the years, has often been on the end of vitriol from Arsenal fans who accuse of not putting enough effort due to his languid style of play.
The German international however believes his achievements so far career in his career show he has been wrongly targeted.
“People know what I have achieved. That I am a World Cup winner, played for Real Madrid, set up 20 goals last season [in all competitions],” the former Real Madrid playmaker told ITV.

“When the team’s on a bad run, somebody needs to be singled out, sadly most of the time it’s me.”
Despite the criticisms, Ozil says he is only focused on helping Arsenal in their top four fight this season.
The 28-year-old has five Premier League goals so far this season and four assists.
