Merab Dvalishvili may not come from a wrestling background, but that didn't stop him from defeating an Olympic champion, pulling off an incredible comeback against Henry Cejudo in the main event of "Real American Freestyle" (RAF) in Georgia.

Early in the bout, it looked like Dvalishvili might not even make it to the second period. Cejudo secured a takedown and, with a few rolls, quickly built an 8-0 lead. However, Dvalishvili remained unfazed and not only survived but began to attack with relentless aggression.

This led to several takedowns, with Dvalishvili simply outwrestling Cejudo on the mat before finally taking an 11-8 lead just before the final whistle. It was a remarkable comeback and a stunning performance from the former UFC champion, who defeated Cejudo in only his second freestyle wrestling match since joining the RAF.

"I'm so happy," Dvalishvili declared after his victory. "I made my people proud. Thank God I won tonight... Henry is an Olympic champion. I think our next match could be in judo."

"After that, you won't be surprised, I love RAF, I love fighting. Petr Yan, come back, brother. What the hell? Something's wrong with him."

Now, Dvalishvili must wait, hoping that the current RAF bantamweight champion, Petr Yan, recovers so they can arrange their long-awaited trilogy before the end of 2026.
