The concept behind this event as explained by SA Williams is for the African man to tell his story and not continue to live under a colonial mentality - that we can match equally with our counterparts in the developed countries of the world.

This was showcased in the visual paintings by Sadiq Williams which had a lot of rich cultural and historical stories dating back to Africans.

Then the OrdinaryGuys experience lifestyle movement being spearheaded by Hip-Hop OG Peter Clarke was incorporated into the event as a music showcase of fine rap, poetry and spoken word.

Producer Echo was on standby providing live music via his smartphone, as Peter Clarke opened the stage with some interesting wordplay.

Lawyer and music enthusiast Eva Johnson took her turn to spit some, as did another female named Condela.

Then there was the acapella session that saw some freestyle rap  by ThatpoetClem, Dynasty, The Kazez twins, Archangel, Mr Dreel and spoken word by Samurai.

X3M Music’s D-Truce also came through and dropped some really witty bars.

It was a celebration of the richness of African culture in the visual and performing arts.
