Meet Mife, the Nigerian artist preaching Afrobeats gospel in Middle East

Nigeria is without doubt doing tremendously well in its entertainment industry producing popular music talents who are gaining recognition both locally and internationally

One of the fast growing talents in the industry is Oluwayanmife Daniel Ayomide Ajiboye, popularly known as 'Mife', an Afropop singer and song-writer who developed a penchant for music and has taken the bold step to build a career out of it.

The Northern Cyprus based talent who has released several projects since he kicked off his music career has also collaborated with many Nigerian music talents including Pheelz, among others.

Mife knows the benefits of being a music talent outside Nigeria which is getting some basic amenities and infrastructural facilities lacking in Nigerian and how a person’s place of residence can play a key role in career development.

He is currently running a massive project for summer titled African Fest, which is a follow up of Mife’s “industry night “ show he held before.

"I made the presence of African artists based in North Cyprus recognized in events after the success of Mife’s “industry night “ show. And with the help of a lot of creatives I kickstarted the Manifestation of the entertainment industry in north Cyprus (EventMyf) with the main aim of building an industry there as we have in UK, USA, Nigeria, and India amongst others world countries," he stated.

"My event titled “Industry night” under the Eventmyf brand is now a case study in Cyprus International University. Now I am currently working on hosting African Fest in Northern Cyprus to unite Africans for summer," he added.

Mife realizes the need to team up with other talents in the industry especially those that have made ground breaking records for themselves. The singer hopes someday to work with musical icons like Davido, Wizkid and Burna boy.

The singer who is also an event promoter and co partner at Eventmyf ticketing company also admitted the music industry is so competitive now, and he has plans to create your own market..

"I’m currently on my MSc in Management Information System PhD upnext. So I’m bringing programing and management to the entertainment scene as an artiste, that's unique," he says.

Mife's first major project titled “Gilded”, a 5-track EP was released under Rare Gem Entertainment.
