Mbappé: My best advocates are my feet, the Ballon d'Or must return to the Bernabéu
Excerpts continue to emerge from the extensive and intriguing interview Kylian Mbappé gave to José Félix Díaz, editorial director of "AS." The conversation takes place at a time when the French Real Madrid star is scoring goal after goal, and his name is frequently mentioned among the contenders for the Ballon d'Or.
"My opinion is that this is a good year to win it. My best advocates are my feet, no matter how much I talk. The most important thing for me is for the Ballon d'Or to return to Real Madrid. It needs to come back to the Bernabéu, to the Madridistas, to return for all these people, to bring them joy. These people deserve it more than anyone else," Mbappé stated.
When asked about one of his rivals for the award and on the pitch – Lamine Yamal – the Frenchman praised Barcelona's young star: "I think he is an exceptionally talented player, and I have a feeling he will have a great career. I wish him all the best."
