Matthias Jaissle: Newcastle's Unity Was Never in Doubt

Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle expressed complete faith in his squad's unity after securing all three points away at Crystal Palace. The victory provided a vital response following back-to-back disappointments against Coventry City and Aston Villa.

The Magpies, who made a solid start to the Premier League campaign, had suffered a brief dip in form. However, they struck decisively early in the second half in south London, netting two quickfire goals to seal the win.

"The togetherness was never in question. Over the past week, I've seen total dedication and a fantastic working environment. The players believe in themselves, they trust me, and they unquestionably fight for each other. Winning always brings an added sense of calm, so we're delighted to come away with the three points," the German coach told Sky Sports.

"We need to establish ourselves as a cohesive group that knows how to navigate difficult moments, and that is precisely what we did today. We are all pulling in the same direction—players, staff, coaches, and fans. When we have that collective spirit, success will follow," Jaissle added.

Newcastle now gear up for a double header against Everton, traveling to face their opponents on Thursday in the League Cup before hosting the Toffees in the Premier League on Monday.
