Márquez Equals Agostini's Legendary Record with Sachsenring Victory

With his victory in yesterday's German Grand Prix, reigning MotoGP world champion Marc Márquez equaled a legendary record set by Giacomo Agostini.

Márquez's triumph at the Sachsenring marked his 13th overall win at the Saxon circuit and his 10th in the premier class. This achievement makes him only the second rider, after Agostini, to secure ten victories at the same track in the premier class of the motorcycle world championship.

The legendary Italian rider achieved ten wins at Imatra in Finland, where he dominated every year between 1965 and 1975, with the exception of 1974. Agostini boasts a total of 17 successes at the Finnish circuit, also claiming seven victories in the 350cc class. In 1965, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1973, the Italian won both the 350cc and 500cc races.
