The 26-year-old footballer will play for the Piraeus-based "Red-Whites" for the upcoming season, where he will link up with compatriots Gelson Martins and Chiquinho.

Last season, Silva also spent time on loan, playing for Turkish side Besiktas. He made 22 appearances for the Istanbul club, scoring 5 goals.

The transfer between the two clubs was facilitated by the fact that Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis owns both Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest.

During the 2025/26 season, Olympiacos finished second in the Greek championship, six points adrift of champions AEK Athens. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest successfully retained their Premier League status and will begin the new season under a new manager, Oliver Glasner.
