On the Challenge of Succeeding Guardiola

"First and foremost, it's a privilege. I've said many times that I consider Pep the best coach in the world over the last 20 years. It's a challenge, but it's a good one, a privilege. After so many years with one person at the helm, it's always a bit difficult for a manager. Dealing with that is a challenge – to do the right things immediately, for this organization, for the fans, and for everyone," the Italian added.

On the Decision to Join Manchester City

"I've known the organization and the people at the club for years. When a club changes only three managers in almost 20 years, it shows how serious their structure is. They understand that time needs to be given. Since Manchester City contacted me, I had no doubt that I wanted to join this fantastic club. I feel back at home – very good. From day one, the feeling has been great, and I'm very happy," Maresca shared.

On Rodri and Speculation Regarding the Midfielder's Transfer to Real Madrid

"There's always speculation around big players. I'm not worried about it; it's normal. They (Spain) won the World Cup, and he was the best player. Every manager would want Rodri because he's a top player. For now, he has surgery scheduled for Monday, and then he needs a rest. He needs to rest and recover. After that, he'll be back with us," Maresca added.

On Manchester City's Transfers

"I think there's always work to be done, both because of our plans and the dynamics of the transfer window. There are probably a few things that need to be done, but we're already working on them."

Maresca on Playing Style and Adaptation

"I think there's a clear identity in the previous clubs I've worked with. That's probably why the club chose me – they see a similar concept to that of the previous manager," the Italian commented.

"To be aggressive without the ball and to control the game, to impose our ideas. To try and do the most important thing, which is to win the match. It's a matter of adaptation. Everything changes over time. You have to adapt and evolve. Set pieces and man-marking are the direction football is heading. Ultimately, we are managers, and we bear responsibility. It's our duty to find solutions."

On Player Availability

"The last group of players will join us three or four days before the Community Shield match. From then on, we'll have the full squad available. I'm working with a lot of young players, which is always good because they're full of energy. Some of them are very good, so yes, I'm pleased."

On the Goalkeeper Position and Jack Grealish's Future

Asked about the goalkeeper position, Maresca responded succinctly: "When the window is open, anything can happen. We'll see. Currently, James Trafford is one of our goalkeepers."

Regarding Jack Grealish's future, the manager said: "Jack is here right now. He's a Manchester City player. I always say the same thing – if there are players who belong to the club, it's my duty to coach them. I have a good relationship with Jack. He has a big heart and is a very good lad. We'll see what happens."
