Manchester United has reportedly made an inquiry about Lille midfielder Ayoub Bouadi, according to Sky Sports. The 18-year-old midfielder made 42 appearances last season for "Les Dogues," who finished seventh in Ligue 1. His performances garnered significant attention, even earning him a call-up to the Moroccan national team for the World Cup, where he has already featured in three matches for the African side.

Ayoub Bouadi started Morocco's first two matches in the USA, playing the full 90 minutes in each, before being benched for the clash against Haiti. He then returned to play 80 minutes against the Netherlands. He operates as a central midfielder, primarily tasked with shielding the defense. The player is valued at approximately 50 million euros, but Lille is reportedly seeking around 85 million for his services. Ayoub has also been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks, with the "Gunners" also said to be exploring the potential terms for his acquisition.

The "Red Devils" have made strengthening their midfield a top priority this summer. The Old Trafford club is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who is also currently with the Brazilian national team at the World Cup. Manchester United also showed strong interest in Elliott Anderson, who is now set to join Manchester City, as well as Matheus Fernandes, who has already moved to Tottenham, and Sandro Tonali, who is also expected to join the "Spurs" soon.
