City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, 28, is on the verge of a £52 million move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadisiyah. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Savinho missed training due to illness as Tottenham intensifies its pursuit of the winger, valued at £70 million.

New City manager Enzo Maresca would be keen to bring Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez to the Etihad after their 18 months together at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea has set a deadline of 5 PM on Friday for City to submit a £120 million bid for the World Cup winner, who scored in Argentina's semi-final victory over England.

City believes Chelsea is attempting to offload the 25-year-old Fernandez while simultaneously aiming for a substantial transfer fee. As of late last night, it remained unclear whether the City hierarchy would make an offer.

Relations between City and Chelsea have been strained since Maresca departed the Blues on January 1st, despite having three and a half years remaining on his contract. City subsequently paid Chelsea £17 million in compensation to appoint the Italian specialist.

Rodri is expected to return to training on Friday after his post-World Cup break following Spain's triumph. However, City has rejected two offers from the Catalan giants and is holding firm on their £60 million valuation. Barcelona's latest bid was reportedly £55 million including add-ons. The 30-year-old Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

Maresca's squad has already broken their club transfer record by signing Elliot Anderson for £116 million and continues to negotiate for Lille teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi, valued at £100 million.

The 28-year-old Reijnders did not train yesterday, awaiting the finalization of his transfer to Saudi Arabia. The Dutch midfielder, acquired for £46.5 million from AC Milan in June 2025, made 47 appearances in his debut season for City, scoring five goals and providing two assists.

Savinho also missed training yesterday, pushing for a move to Tottenham. Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva has already left as a free agent, joining Real Madrid after his contract expired.
