Narrating how the incidence happened, father of the victim, Raheem, said his daughter chose to sleep outside their room on the day the incident occurred due to heat.

He stated that the victims cry alerted occupants of the residence and it was discovered that her pants had been taken off from where she was sleeping.

Raheem said he got to the root of the matter after consulting with a herbalist who told him the suspect who carried out the act was a co-tenant.

He added that he informed the suspect about the revelations from the herbalist adding that there would be dire consequences if he did not confess.
