Leaving makeup on overnight is never advisable as it eventually results into bad skin reactions that eventually damage the skin. As much as possible products should be removed everyday with the skin nourished so as not to strip it of the necessary nutrients.

For instance, it's not enough to wash the face alone but after washing, it should be (deeply) cleansed as soap are not designed to clean past the surface (it's the reason where after washing the face and you moisten cotton ball with cleansing astringent to clean your face, it still comes off with dirt).
