Major Premier League Shake-Up: Agents Offer Emiliano Martinez to London Giants

Representatives for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez have reportedly offered the services of the Argentine international to Chelsea FC. The London club is said to be considering a replacement for their first-choice goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who has faced criticism for his unconvincing performances.

Thirty-three-year-old Martinez was expected to leave the Birmingham club during the summer transfer window, as the "Villans" aim to rejuvenate their squad and improve their financial standing. Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans, and Lucas Digne have already departed, and speculation continues regarding a potential move for Ollie Watkins to Saudi Arabia.

The Argentine held talks with Juventus in August, but no agreement was reached. Following Zion Suzuki's arrival at Aston Villa, Martinez's representatives then turned their attention to another Premier League participant.

At Chelsea, the goalkeeping situation has long been a point of criticism, with first-choice keeper Sanchez delivering another unconvincing performance in the 3-2 victory over Fulham in the Premier League's opening round. Twenty-one-year-old Belgian Mike Penders is expected to get a chance in the League Cup.

However, according to DPA, Chelsea is reportedly keen on the idea of signing an established Premier League goalkeeper and experienced international.
