Things are looking far from ideal for Oded Kattash's side, who suffered a shock defeat against Maccabi Rishon ahead of Tuesday's 8:00 PM clash in Belgrade.

With setbacks piling up for Maccabi, Kattash acknowledged the team's difficult situation and ongoing injury woes.

Nevertheless, Kattash emphasized after the domestic loss that his squad will not throw in the towel.

"This is a tough defeat, and when things go wrong, the problems just keep piling up. We are in a difficult spell. The guys in the locker room remain positive, and that is what matters most. It is vital to stay united and keep our energy levels high, just as we normally do. We have to simplify things. We did manage to move the ball better. It's a long season—this is only our third game in the Israeli league—and there is no reason to panic. Everyone is eager to improve." - Oded Kattash

Maccabi will be without Iffe Lundberg against Zvezda, but Kattash underlined his faith in the rest of the roster and praised the team spirit.

"The next man up has to be ready. Iffe is a leader. We will find the right rhythm and chemistry with the players we have available. We believe in them; that's all part of basketball. We cannot panic. The atmosphere in the locker room is good." - Oded Kattash
