Lyon Delivers a Crushing Blow to Rennes; Toulouse Secures First Win

Lyon thrashed Rennes 4-0 in a Ligue 1 matchday 5 fixture, leapfrogging Paris FC into second place. "Les Gones" executed their tactical plan flawlessly, capitalizing on the visitors' naive approach. Before halftime, the game was briefly halted for about ten minutes due to offensive banners displayed by Lyon fans.

Ernest Nuamah opened the scoring for the hosts in the 7th minute and then doubled his side's lead in the 30th. Early in the second half, Zacharie Atekame effectively sealed the victory for Lyon, but the team went on to add a fourth goal, courtesy of Corentin Tolisso (76').
