Liverpool's Bid Rejected: Brighton Unwilling to Sell Key Player

According to BBC Sport, English football club Brighton & Hove Albion has turned down an offer from rivals Liverpool for Yankuba Minteh. The Premier League side had sought to acquire the 22-year-old Gambian international for approximately 58 million euros.

Minteh joined Brighton in the summer of 2024, having played 36 competitive matches and scored three goals in the previous season. He is currently sidelined with a foot injury sustained in a pre-season friendly against AS Roma.

Liverpool is actively looking to strengthen its attacking options this summer, having so far only signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna. In addition to Minteh, they are also reportedly interested in Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola. However, PSG is currently demanding an excessively high fee for the French international, making a potential transfer difficult.
