Liverpool's management is reportedly willing to facilitate Arne Slot's move to the Netherlands national team and is even prepared to cover part of his salary during his first year in charge of the "Oranje," according to Dutch newspaper "De Telegraaf."
The specialist was dismissed by the Merseyside club at the end of the 2025/26 season, with one year remaining on his three-year contract. Consequently, the 47-year-old coach is entitled to compensation exceeding 10 million euros. It is believed that the total amount Slot is due from Liverpool is around 30 million euros.
Therefore, by paying the Dutchman a certain sum during his first year at the helm of the "Tulips," the English club could save several million. If Slot were to remain unemployed next season, he would receive the full compensation from Liverpool.
For several weeks, Dutch media have reported that Slot is the frontrunner to replace Ronald Koeman as head coach of the Netherlands national team.
