Liverpool Loses Midfielder as English Star Heads to Serie A

English footballer Curtis Jones has completed a transfer from Liverpool to Inter Milan. The reigning Italian champions paid 35 million euros for the 25-year-old midfielder, with an additional five million potentially going to "The Reds" in bonuses.

Liverpool secured a 10 percent sell-on clause in addition to performance-related bonuses. Jones, a product of the club's academy, spent 17 years at Anfield, including his youth career. With just one year remaining on his contract, he expressed dissatisfaction with his playing time, particularly last season. He informed new manager Andoni Iraola of his desire to leave immediately upon the Spaniard's arrival.

"I'm a Liverpool lad, a local boy, and I've spent my entire life there. However, at this stage of my career, I wanted to move forward, and I believe this club is ideal for me to do so," Jones told Inter Milan's official website.
