Liverpool has reportedly made an inquiry to Crystal Palace regarding their midfielder, Adam Wharton, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. Sources indicate that the London club is open to selling the English international, valuing him at approximately £80 million, though bidding is expected to start significantly lower. The player himself is also keen on a move to a bigger club and the opportunity to play in the Champions League.
Wharton is a priority target for Liverpool's midfield. The Merseyside club will likely offload Curtis Jones, who has attracted interest from Inter Milan, and Alexis Mac Allister's future at Anfield also remains uncertain.
Manchester United also holds a strong interest in the 22-year-old Crystal Palace star.
Palace signed Wharton from Blackburn in February 2024 for an initial fee of £18 million, which could rise to £22 million with add-ons.
