Barcelona star picks up his teammate, Suarez from airport

Since 2014 when Suarez joined Barcelona, he and Messi have struck up a friendship which has extended to their respective families.

Messi and his fiancée Antonella Roccuzzo were on hand to receive Suarez at the airport as he was coming back from international duties.

During the international break, Suarez played in both of Uruguay’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Peru, which they lost.

Messi also travelled for international duties but returned earlier due to his four-match ban by .

Having returned earlier, Messi and his partner were seen in their Porsche Cayenne at the underground car park of the El Prat airport to pick up Suarez.

Before entering his friend’s car, Suarez who was with his son stopped to take oblige a couple of photo requests from fans at the airport.

After the international break, Suarez played and scored a goal in Barcelona’s 4-1 win at Granada on Sunday, April 2.

Messi was not in the Barcelona squad for the game.
