Rodriguez netted seven goals in La Liga last season, finding the back of the net against powerhouses like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid. He marks the first signing for new manager Marco Rose. “AFC Bournemouth is delighted to announce the long-term signing of talented young striker Alvaro Rodriguez,” the English club stated in an official announcement.

Rodriguez is a product of Real Madrid's academy, making his senior debut for "Los Blancos" in January 2023 under Carlo Ancelotti. Prior to his move to Elche, he had a loan spell at Getafe.

“It's a huge honor for me to be here. I've always wanted to play in the Premier League, and now, on my birthday, that dream has come true. I've dreamt of this since I was a little boy.

When my agent told me Bournemouth was interested, I couldn't believe it. Everything I've experienced so far has prepared me for this next chapter. Now I want to keep improving and show what I can do,” said Rodriguez, who won both the Spanish title and the Copa del Rey with Real Madrid.
