Adamu Gamawa, Chairman of the Bauchi state Primary Health Care Development Agency (BASPHCDA) disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the state’s teaching hospital (ATBUTH) has discharged nine out of the 10 patients treated for Lassa fever.

The chairperson stated that a follow up on the 200 persons suspected to have direct contact with the patients.
In a related news, The management of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba on Friday, March 18, 2016 stated that the first Lassa fever patient in Lagos have been discharged.
