The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be one of the NBA's most active teams this summer, and a new report reveals several players the organization might pursue to bolster the roster around Luka Dončić.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Lakers have already conducted significant research into a number of potential free-agent targets.

The list includes young centers, forwards with strong defensive skills, and experienced veterans who could fill key roles on a championship-contending team.

Among the names linked to the Lakers are four restricted free agents who address important roster needs.

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren and Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler are reportedly among the players the Lakers are monitoring. Both centers could provide the interior presence the Lakers are seeking.

Duren has developed into a strong rebounder and interior finisher, while Kessler is widely regarded as one of the league's premier rim protectors. Either player could give the Lakers more physicality, athleticism, and defensive stability in the frontcourt.

The Californians have also shown interest in Denver Nuggets wing Peyton Watson and Houston Rockets wing Tari Eason.

While the Lakers may have identified several intriguing options, acquiring restricted free agents is not always a straightforward process.

In addition to younger restricted free agents, Los Angeles is also considering several unrestricted veterans.

According to McMenamin, the list includes Tobias Harris, Norman Powell, Anfernee Simons, Mitchell Robinson, Coby White, Quentin Grimes, Dean Wade, and Landry Shamet.

Each of these players could address a different need on the team.

Robinson would provide additional rim protection and rebounding. Powell brings proven scoring ability and perimeter shooting. Simons and White offer offensive firepower in the backcourt, while Harris provides veteran experience and versatility.

Meanwhile, Grimes, Wade, and Shamet could bolster the rotation with defense, offensive spacing, and roster depth.
