Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George has signed a multi-year contract extension, according to the Associated Press.

While the club did not disclose the terms of the agreement, ESPN reported it to be a five-year deal worth $157.5 million. The contract is set to run through the end of the 2031-2032 season.

“Keyonte’s leadership, growth, and commitment to what we’re building make him an integral part of this club’s future. We are thrilled that he has chosen to remain in Utah as a foundational piece as we continue to pursue our ultimate goal of becoming champions,” said Austin Ainge, the club’s President of Basketball Operations, in a statement.

George, selected 16th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, is coming off a career-best season where he averaged 23.6 points and 6.1 assists per game, along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals.

He is part of the Jazz’s core, which also includes veterans Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr., as well as Darin Peterson and Ace Bailey, who were selected in the last two drafts. Peterson was the No. 2 pick this year, and Bailey was the fifth pick in 2025.

Utah is currently undergoing a significant rebuilding phase, having won a combined 39 games over the past two seasons. The Jazz haven't achieved a winning record since the 2021-2022 season, when they finished 49-33 before overhauling their roster by trading Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
