Manchester City winger Jérémy Doku has officially signed a new contract with the club. The Belgian's new deal extends until the summer of 2031 and includes an option for an additional season, which can be activated by the club. Doku joined the Citizens in the summer of 2023 for a fee of £55.5 million from Rennes. He quickly established himself as a key attacking player for the team, registering five goals and seven assists last season.
“I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club so far, and it's fantastic to have the opportunity to stay longer. This club means a great deal to me; I've developed significantly as a footballer since I arrived, but also as a person. I feel settled and I know I'm improving every day thanks to the work we all put in here. It's hard to explain how much everyone at the club does to help the players. I don't take it for granted. I'm excited for the upcoming season under Enzo Maresca, who is already here. He champions a style of football that we all love. The City fans are also a major reason I've signed a new contract. I feel their love and support, which means a lot to me, and I want to give them what they deserve,” Doku stated.
