Love underwent successful surgery on Wednesday afternoon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

The 26-year-old will receive continuing treatment and rehabilitation at Cleveland Clinic Courts and Cleveland Clinic Sports Health.

Love's injury occurred on Sunday when he got tangled with the Boston Celtics' Kelly Olynyk, who locked arms with Love while chasing a loose ball.

Love called it a "bush-league play" and was convinced Olynyk did it on purpose.

The Cavaliers won the game to sweep the Celtics, but will be without Love for the remainder of the play-offs.

Cleveland await the winner of the Chicago Bulls-Milwaukee Bucks series, which Chicago lead 3-2.

Love averaged 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds during the regular season and was averaging 14.3 points and seven rebounds during the 2015 post-season.
