Garnett is convinced that the Knicks' front office has no intention of budging on financial terms:

"I honestly believe Towns could get traded by the Knicks. There's a $200 million offer on the table, and they're not going a dollar above that. No extras, no nothing—their stance is rock-solid. The moment you have a dip in form, they'll immediately say, 'Oh no, your market value just dropped.' I think they're going to trade him," Garnett said.

According to emerging reports, the Knicks have offered the center a deal in the region of $200 million, while Towns' camp remains adamant about securing a full max contract worth $276 million.
