Super Eagles midfielder Kalu Uche has advised Stephen Keshi to stop ignoring him when he returns as the coach of the National Team.
The Levante of Spain attacking midfielder last featured for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in November 2011, when he scored in the 2-0 international friendly win against Zambia, which was also his only match under Keshi.
Kalu Uche reportedly fell out with it the Delta State born coach after he opted out from a friendly game against Mexico, World Cup qualifiers and the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil claiming he was nursing an injury.
Since then Stephen Keshi has ignored the midfielder something that has not gone down well with the player.
Speaking with Newswatch Sports, a close associate of the footballer Joseph Elemba revealed that Stephen Keshi is not handing out national team call outs with merits.
“Kalu Uche he feels he is not one of the so called ‘Keshi’s boys’, who are being favoured in the national team; and he is not happy about it because he believes he is far better than most of them and yet,Keshi refused to give him a fair chance to fight for shirt," Joseph Elemba said.
"He might later consider to play under a new coach if invited, but so long as Keshi remains the coach, I don’t see him honouring his invitations any more except there is a last minute change of mind. For the time being, he does not want to be considered for national call up and wants to concentrate on club football.”
