Nollywood actor turns traffic instructor
Traffic Warehouse Nig. Ltd, producers of the programme, ‘‘Traffic School’’ have chosen Kalu Ikeagwu to be the presenter/anchor.
At the launch of the TV programme, Princewill Amuchie, Chief Imagination Officer (CIO), spoke on their choice.
According to him, the Nollywood actor was chosen over others because he is good at what he does and will make a good brand-face for the programme.
Ikeagwu responded by saying he saw the new task as an added value opportunity for him as an actor.
‘‘I am happy that this is happening now. It signifies the fact that doors have started opening from every angle, as this will add a lot of more value to what I do as an actor and help showcase my diversified business acumen."
On the purpose of the programme, Mr Amuchie said it would help create awareness and enlighten Nigerians on traffic rules and regulations.
"Other areas we intend to bring to the fore would be to push the knowledge of our people on issues pertaining to air, sea and rail traffic, so that more awareness would be achieved in those sectors, thereby creating an enabling environment for safety in Nigeria.”
The TV programme is expected to air from the first quarter of 2016 across Nigeria.
