Despite being contracted to the club till, Klopp as asked the club to leave this summer

Borussia Dortmund manager Jürgen Klopp is set to leave the Bundesliga club this summer after asking to leave.

The German has endured a difficult season in Dortmund with the club currently in 10th place at the league table, they have also been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Juventus.

According local reports from Germany this morning, Klopp has Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim and the club has called a press conference this afternoon.

The 47-year-old who is contracted to stay at the club till 2018 arrived from Mainz seven years ago and has won the Bundesliga title twice, the German Cup once and reached the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 2013, a game they lost 2-1.
