Jude Bellingham was caught on camera slapping an Argentinian player after England's heartbreaking World Cup semi-final defeat. The Three Lions crashed out in Atlanta following two late goals.
Tensions flared multiple times during the heated clash between the old rivals. Real Madrid star Bellingham visibly lost his composure after the final whistle.
Argentina celebrated their 2-1 victory and progression to the World Cup final when TV cameras captured Bellingham striking Valentin Barco on the back of the head. The incident occurred as the Argentinian seemingly provoked the Englishman by celebrating directly in front of him. The two players were quickly separated, though Bellingham exchanged a few more words with his opponent. The Real Madrid star was later seen in tears after the match, which ended England's hopes of global glory.
Morgan Rogers was also involved in a post-match altercation. A scrum of players formed in the center circle, pushing and shoving. England's reserve goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, was among those attempting to calm the situation. Morgan Rogers was near referee Ismail Elfath, who gestured for him to back away. James Trafford and Ivan Toney also acted as peacemakers, while Rogers was held back from Lisandro Martinez.
Rogers also appeared to have an issue with Argentina's goalkeeper, Juan Musso, attempting to confront the Argentinian players immediately after Elfath blew the whistle on the tense encounter.
Before joining his teammates in the fray, Bellingham was seen consoling Nico O'Reilly on the pitch. Ivan Toney embraced Gonzalo Montiel, while Dan Burn was surrounded by Enzo Fernandez and Cristian Romero.
