In an interview with Complex Sports, Nikola Jokic emphasized that injuries were the primary obstacle preventing the Denver Nuggets from repeating their 2023 championship success.

"First and foremost, we definitely need to stay healthy. That will be key number one for us. We failed that test over the last few years, I think two or three seasons in a row. It feels like we weren't healthy right when we needed it the most. That's why I think staying healthy and ready is the absolute priority." - Nikola Jokic

During last season, Jokic himself was forced to miss 16 consecutive games due to a hyperextended knee.

Compounded by the absences of Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson, a depleted Nuggets squad suffered a painful first-round exit against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Colorado franchise hopes everyone remains healthy throughout the upcoming season as they gear up for another championship run.
